Privacy policy

Last updated: 2 October 2026

This policy explains what data Quietools Lists (“the add-on”) accesses, why, and what happens to it. Quietools is run by Matthieu BOUR, EI, an individual business registered in France under SIRET 934 037 599 00016, 851 rue de Villeneuve, 01300 Groslée-Saint-Benoît, France (“we”).

What the add-on accesses

  • The form where you install it: its questions and their choices, to update the choices of the questions you link, and its open or closed status if you turn on automatic closing. The add-on does not read the answers people submit.
  • The spreadsheets you choose: the values of the range you enter, read each time the list is updated. The add-on can only open spreadsheets you select in Google’s file picker, and it never writes to them.
  • Your language setting, to show the add-on in your language.

What the add-on stores

Everything below is stored inside Google, in the add-on’s settings. We have no servers that store your form or spreadsheet data.

  • Link settings, saved with the form: the question, the spreadsheet’s identifier and name, the range, your options and the last update status.
  • The previous list of choices for each link, saved with the form so you can restore it. It is replaced at each update and deleted when you remove the link.
  • Your license key and its activation identifier, if you activate the full version, saved in your personal settings for the add-on.

What is shared, and with whom

  • Polar (polar.sh) is our merchant of record. When you buy, Polar processes your payment and billing details under its own privacy policy, and shares the order details we need (name, email address, purchase) with us. When you activate a key, and about once a week afterwards, the add-on sends Polar the license key, our organization identifier and an activation label or identifier. No form or spreadsheet content is sent.
  • Google: the add-on runs on Google Apps Script, inside Google’s infrastructure.
  • Cloudflare hosts the quietools.app website and processes technical data, such as IP addresses, to deliver its pages. The website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, and its fonts are served from quietools.app itself.

We don’t sell data, show ads, use analytics or tracking, or use your data to train AI models.

Google API Services User Data Policy

Quietools Lists’ use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

How long data is kept, and how to delete it

  • Link settings and saved lists stay until you remove the link or uninstall the add-on. Removing a link deletes its settings and its saved list.
  • Remove the license from this account, in the sidebar, deletes the stored key from your settings.
  • You can revoke the add-on’s access at any time from your Google Account, in Security, Your connections to third-party apps and services.
  • Order records are kept by Polar and by us for as long as accounting law requires.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, or object to its use, by writing to support@quietools.app. You can also complain to the CNIL, the French data protection authority, or to the authority of your country.

Changes

If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and its date.
